The SIP2 hardware platform is an easy-to-use, low cost field-bus, metering, or plant interface and or data capture solution. Designed to ensure BACnet and TREND interfacing is made as simple as possible following on from our successful range of SIP interfaces.
SIP2 comes as standard with built in M-Bus, ModBus, Power over Ethernet (PoE) and a digital input/pulse counter. Furthermore a small footprint makes it perfect for residential applications with the inclusion of PoE for when a standard power source is not an option.
Supporting a maximum of four drivers (one instance of each driver) per device. Drivers can include MQTT, REST (for IoT connectivity), Synapsys vIQ, BIC and many more. SIP2 also enables meter data to be passed to both BMS and Energy Monitoring Systems independently; as a result the data can be viewed, adjusted in either system without effecting the other. Available in 100, 300 and 600 point variants ensuring users have a range of options available to suit the application.
The multi-protocol hardware supports a maximum of four drivers per device, chosen by the engineer or end user. Drivers available include:
- MQTT – IoT connectivity
- REST Server – IoT connectivity
- Synapsys ViQ
- Synapsys BIC
- Data Acquisition
- ModBus
- M-Bus
- Digital input / Pulse counter
Synapsys Virtual IQ
Virtual IQ (vIQ) software enables the SIP2 device to sit straight onto the Trend network making Trend Interfacing simple. Each third party device interfaced can then be presented as if it were a Trend controller. Additionally, each value transferred is provided as a standard Trend module – sensor, knob, switch or digital input and above all else have the full compliment of functionality such as labels, alarms and plots.
Synapsys BACnet Integration Controller
SIP2 is a multi-protocol hardware device and includes our latest BACnet Integration Controller (BIC). BIC’s present third party devices as BACnet devices, with values transferred as BACnet object types, with Notification Class and Trendlog functionality. The inclusion of BIC ensures BACnet Interfacing is simple and efficient.
